SMART Production – Synergy from analog and digital systems
Industry 4.0 is not just a catchword at WILD, we are aiming at the perfect combination of analog and digital systems. How does it work? Read more in the current issue and find out why analogue solutions still bring
advantages in the production process and how we have managed, in a cooperation with WUGGL, to design the measurement of animals more precisely and stress-free by means of an optical scale built in a smartphone-like device.
In addition, we are also introduce innovations from the company PHOTONIC: The high power ring light is just before the market launch and already convinces customers with intuitive control and flexible working distances.
The new magazine will show that rapid transition of competencies with high quality and precision do not contradict.
With the begin of 2017 we are answering the question, why the WILD group has all the competencies necessary to be the strategic partner for outsourcing projects.
Furthermore we will introduce the new product from PHOTONIC, a completely new fibre-coupled light source for life science applications. The innovative light source will be able to cover all current illumination applications in microscopy.

The forth and last issue of the magazine PRISMA for 2016 is all about quality.
The topic ‘quality’ has many aspects to it. Strategic partners like AKG and plasmo trust the quality of our production and service when it comes to crucial products of their respective business. To meet the quality requirements within the WILD Group certain supporting processes are necessary. Therefore we lay focus on our HR-Management and Network management, because the extension of our knowledge-base ist essential to all members of the WILD Group. The third edition of our Magazine – PRISMA – focuses on the base of the sustainable success of the WILD Group.
The optimal product development is crucial for the success prior to a product launch. To achieve the best solution for our customer, we take advantage of the close cooperation between our R&D department and the production. Customers get access to our expertise in product development via six different service packages, which can be adapted individually to create the perfect fit with our customer’s needs. Besides our development and engineering competence PRISMA highlights the diversity of our company and employees. The new issue of our magazine – PRISMA – is about flawless processes
In this edition we focus on unmatched precision through a state-of-the-art high performance lathe, internationally approved quality management, better flow of communication, an improved strobe function and a strategic appointment in the business development as a result of our ongoing improvement process. WILD sheds light on its process management which is crucial to meet customer needs and legal requirements all over the world.
The WILD Group takes over the „spiritual heritage“ of ZETT Optics to expand its range of innovative optical technology solutions.
ZETT Optics, a German company specializing in light solutions for laboratory and medical technology and in industrial applications, will retire from the market as of 30 November 2015. All the company‘s divisions from development to production were transferred to the WILD Group as part of an asset deal. The latter is thus taking over the „spiritual heritage“ of ZETT Optics and will lead it into a successful future in the most professional manner. „ZETT Optics was operating in areas very similar to those of Photonic and WILD Technologies. The resulting synergies are considerable and will benefit customers in the future, since we have many years of experience with precisely these technologies, products, and production requirements“, says WILD Group CEO Dr. Josef Hackl, quite pleased with the efficient integration of the ZETT‘s valuable assets.
Since WILD also purchased all design and development results and patents of ZETT, Photonic and WILD Technologies have now secured their technological edge in several areas. „Photonic is expanding into the acquired areas while continuing to guarantee top quality. At the same time, we will have to focus on new developments that are now required“, Hackl emphasises. In the medium term, WILD Technologies will in turn manufacture the entire product range taken over from ZETT Optics. Photonic is already launching the first customer solutions on the market at the end of the year, including theMedical Light 1000 and Medical Light 600 product families.
In the this edition of PRISMA we present our latest product developments as well as “door-openers” to a career within the WILD Group.
WILD introduces its traineeship-program as an entry option to a professional career within the group, which allows the participant to gather fundeamental knowledge and to establish networks. Furthermore, the magazine focuses on the enlargement of cleanroom capacities, innovative production processes and an extended product portfolio of PHOTONIC.

The new PRISMA introduces the latest products and innovations of the brands of the WILD Group: WILD, Photonic and solar-semi. Product development is and will be based on the new Technology-Roadmap (TRM) which sets the direction of the whole group. The TRM features current and future trends and supports WILD in anticipating emerging needs of various markets.
What is more, PRISMA deals with

– the application of a structured innovation management
– the importance of Big-Data tools for the management and with
– internal optimization of existing procedures.
This way PRSIMA offers insights into core activities which are usually restricted to managers only.
